Deutsches Institut für Medizinische Dokumentation und Information DIMDI This is one of the best German language databases. It offers the possibility to pose questions about medical and natural science, sometimes for a fee. DIMDI offers meaningful services to customers whom are applying for drug registrations in Germany. http://www.dimdi.de Articles from almost all scientific journals concerning biomedical and clinical research are here. It is supported by the National Center for Biotechnology Information NCBI and the National Library of Medicine NLM. Research is performed over the title of the journal, in which the desired article was published. It is linked to the National Institutes of Health. Free Medline can also be accessed through DIMDI. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed A literature database for biomedicine and pharmacy which charges a fee. http://www.embase.com Here you can find information over the work situation in the European Union, as well as that concerning food security, health matters such as research and technology. Furthermore you can view government documents here pertaining to the rights of the EU. The service points publications and statistics are also helpful. http://www.europa.eu.int Agricultural Research Service: Dr. Duke's Phytochemical and Ethnobotanical Databases An outstanding database for researching medicinal plants. Offers full monographs, including the less well known and exotic plant. Searchs by indication, method of action or plant name are possible. The results are crossreferenced with detailed links. http://www.ars-grin.gov/duke Gelbe Liste der pharmazeutischen Industrie The on-line reference work is unfortunately not as complete as the well known Rote Liste, but very practical. When you use docinfo as the login and password, research is free. Searches according to category, indication, active ingredient, company name and medication name are possible. http://www.gelbe-liste.de
A good datebase to research medicinal plants. Offers complete monographs of all commonly used plants. The monographs are more detailed than those of Dr. Dukes website, but less plants are included. Searches according to indication, method of action, or plant name are possible. http://www.herbmed.org Similar to the HerbMed database. http://www.pfaf.org |
